                                                                              Course Outline

Career education is an ongoing process through which learners integrate their personal, family, school, work, and community learning experiences to facilitate career and lifestyle choices. The emphasis should be on learning for life rather than learning for school. Career Development 2201 is designed to help students develop the skills they need to make effective career decisions throughout their lives. Students will increase their awareness of who they are, where they want to go, and how to get there.

Career Development 2201 is a two credit course designed for all high school students. This course, including the 30 hour Community Contribution volunteer component, is required for high school graduation in Newfoundland and Labrador
